Church History

The PFUMC worship buildingThere has been a Methodist congregational presence in Pflugerville since 1923.   The initial congregation disbanded in 1966 and was re-started in 1983.  Since then, there has been nothing but growth in this faith community.

Since the 1980s, we have gone from meeting at the fire hall to our current permanent home on Pecan Street. We have grown from one building to suit all our needs to our current three buildings.   At present, we are in the planning stages of building on yet again to accommodate our needs.

First Methodist Pflugerville continues to be a warm and caring congregation, working together as a family of faith. We sincerely hope you will join us as we march together from the past, on into the future.
